WCTC District Board of Trustees welcomes two new members
PEWAUKEE, Wis. (Thursday, July 24, 2025) -- ·èÂí¸èÎèÐã is excited to welcome two new board members – Rep. Barbara Dittrich and Amanda Busche – to the WCTC District Board of Trustees, the nine-member policy-making body of the College. Both members joined the board earlier this month.
Dittrich, a resident of Oconomowoc, has been the state representative for Wisconsin’s 99th Assembly District since 2019, representing parts of Waukesha, Dodge and Jefferson counties. She is filling the elected official category, vacated by Tom Michalski, and her term runs through June 30, 2026. Additionally, Dittrich is a nationally published author, speaker and founder of Snappin' Ministries, passionately advocating for disabled individuals and their families.
Busche, a resident of Pewaukee, is the business development manager for VJS Construction. She is filling the additional category, and her term will expire June 30, 2028. She is active in her community, serving or having served board positions with the Real Estate Alliance for Charity (REACH), Blessings in a Backpack-Waukesha County, Elevate MKE and Milwaukee Habitat Young Professionals.
Both women bring a passion for education and tremendous leadership experience to their roles, and they are eager to champion WCTC.
“As a legislator who has been ardent about workforce in our state, I have been thrilled to see how WCTC innovates and produces results with a skilled workforce. Being named to the board is the honor of a lifetime, enabling me to amplify WCTC’s strategies for new students or those who wish to upskill,” Dittrich said.
Added Busche: “I’m honored to join the WCTC Board of Trustees and excited to support an institution that is leading the way in innovation, workforce development and student success,” she said. “WCTC’s commitment to evolving with the needs of both students and our local industry plays a critical role in strengthening our community. I’m deeply passionate about ensuring that every student has access to a high-quality educational experience. I look forward to contributing to WCTC’s continued growth and impact.”
Additionally, board members Courtney Bauer, special agent in charge with the Wisconsin Department of Justice – Division of Criminal Investigation, along with Rob Ewing, president of Wenthe-Davidson Engineering, were also reappointed to the WCTC District Board through June 2028. Bauer, who resides in Hartland, represents the employee category; she has been a member of the district board since 2016. Ewing, who resides in Merton, represents the employer category; he was appointed to the board last summer.
Congratulations to new and returning board members, whose leadership and guidance will continue to move the College forward.
